Meet our Counselors
Savannah V. Carter
Licensed Professional Counselor
Before becoming a counselor, I was an educator for 8 years, in the classroom, I found myself drawn towards spending more time with children that needed a little extra help or support.
Since then, my passion has become working with teens to identify and explore fears, by accepting one’s self and discovering and creating a path to who they want to become. I work one on one with teens that are struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, LGBTQ+, and abuse.
As a counselor, I work hard, alongside my clients, to build a therapeutic relationship through authenticity and empathy. I often times use humor and transparency to create a safe place for people to become their best selves.
As for me, I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 15 years, I have three daughters (that only drive me crazy 38% of the time) and I just recently became a dog mom; anyone that knows me can’t believe this is actually happening. When I need to calm my own fears and anxieties you will find me hiking with my family or paddle boarding in any body of water. I believe self-love, self-acceptance and self-care are keys to creating a balanced and fulfilling life.

Life has a way of throwing us curveballs—loss, change, uncertainty, or feeling stuck. If you’re
facing something unexpected or overwhelming, you’re not alone. I believe in the innate
resilience and strength within each person to navigate adversity and grow through it. My
approach is grounded in a deep respect for your unique experiences, and I see therapy as a
collaborative space where healing and change are possible.
Using evidence-based practices, like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and person-
centered therapy, I help individuals reconnect with their values, build psychological flexibility,
and cultivate self-compassion. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, grief, life transitions, or
simply questioning what’s next, we can work together to find clarity, build resilience, and move
toward a more meaningful life.
I specialize in supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed in the wake of unexpected life
events or transitions, including emerging adults who are navigating the pressures and transitions
of early adulthood—questions around identity, career, relationships, and purpose. I also enjoy
working with couples of all identities to build stronger, more connected partnerships, helping
them navigate conflict, reconnect emotionally, and clarify shared values.
My goal is to provide a trauma-informed approach that creates a safe, supportive, and non-
judgmental environment where you feel truly heard—and where even the faintest hope has space
to grow.
Finding the right therapist matters. Reach out by phone or email for a free consultation. We can
talk about your needs and determine if my approach aligns with what you’re looking for.

Many of us carry emotional burdens—anxiety, depression, trauma, or overwhelming life circumstances—that leave us feeling like we’re carrying an invisible load preventing us from living the life we want. These challenges can make it feel like we’re stuck in place or facing an uphill battle. The good news is that it’s possible to move forward with greater ease and purpose.
I help individuals who feel weighed down, overwhelmed, or uncertain about their path in life. You may be navigating unexpected challenges, feeling disconnected from your true self, or longing for more meaningful connection.
My goal is to help you feel empowered as you create a rich and meaningful life. Together we’ll explore thoughts and emotions beneath the surface that may be holding you back. We’ll work on building self-compassion, uncovering your core values, and taking steps towards a life that feels more aligned, authentic and fulfilling.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I offer warm, compassionate care grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) guided by a person-centered approach.
I specialize in working with women who carry unseen burdens while feeling the constant pressure to keep it all together, even when it feels exhausting. I provide a space where your experiences are seen, heard, and honored.
Healing doesn’t have to happen alone. If you’re ready to take that first step, it would be a privilege to walk alongside you. Reach out to schedule a free consultation and let’s see if we’re a good fit.
